Contract Law and Business Law. At the law offices of LL&L we advise
and represent clients in contract matters starting with establishing your terms and then from negotiation,
drafting of agreements, interpretation and, if needed, termination. We advise clients how to avoid breaching
a contract and on the options and remedies if a contract is breached. If litigation arises over a contract
dispute, we know how to advance a claim or to defend one.
The firm provides the full range of advice and services needed to choose the form of your business, to
establish it with the necessary legal filings and to organize it with agreements among the founding members. We
also represent business buyers and sellers in the negotiation and closing on their sale, merger or acquisition.
The firm advises and represents employees and employers in negotiating and preparing employment and severance
agreements. This includes representation of professional and non-professional employees and advising on
covenants not to compete, discrimination issues, termination rights and benefits.
Leeson, Leeson & Leeson provides advice and representation to employees, shareholders, partners and
businesses in disputes over wage and salary payment, management, and the withdrawal and valuation of ownership
interests. The partners have handled the dissolution of various business forms including proprietorships,
partnerships, limited liability companies, corporations and non-profits.
Construction Law. LL&L represents homeowners, businesses, local
governments, developers and contractors in construction disputes ranging from botched home improvements to
substandard construction of new schools and municipal waste treatment plants. Cases handled by the firm have
involved disputes over thousands of dollars, to the millions to a $100 million plus dispute over the
construction of a manufacturing facility. We can advise and represent a client through complex negotiations,
bond claims and litigation of these disputes.
Insurance Claims and Defense. If your insurance company denies your claim,
we can review and explain their decision and advise you on options to challenge the denial. This will begin with
gathering facts and legal authority to persuade the company to reverse its decision. If needed, LL&L can take
the case to court.
If your insurance company, without good justification, either denies your claim or is just plain unresponsive,
you may have a claim against the company under Pennsylvania’s “bad faith” statute which
grants remedies including the possible awards of attorney fees and punitive damages. We provide advice and
representation in these matters.
We also represent insurance companies and defend the company or its insured – it could be you –
in lawsuits arising from accidents and denied claims. The experience of handling cases for and against
insurance companies gives us the benefit of understanding how the other side is likely to view and manage
their case. This advantage can be very useful in settlement negotiations and deciding case strategy.
Municipal, Zoning and Land Development Law. The firm provides the full
range of advice and services needed by property owners to change uses, to add uses or to add structures to
their property in compliance with local municipal zoning and land development ordinances. This includes
communication with the local officials, reviewing the applicable ordinances, filing required applications
and appeals with the municipality, working with engineers, representation before hearing boards and officers
and filing court appeals. The firm’s experience has been enhanced by both partners’ service as
solicitors for local municipalities in these types of matters.
